It’s clear to see that Jack Gray has been ‘That Guy’ this year with these past couple releases. However, this song specifically isn’t just about him. The talented young writer draws on real life experiences and tells a story about a girl who should not in fact be with ‘That Guy.’
The blend of pop, alternative rock, and even hip-hop was executed to perfection throughout this song. Jack Gray’s smooth-as-butter vocals seem to be the perfect fit over this retro, nostalgic-feeling instrumentation that has us grooving uncontrollably. This dude has a serious talent, and we expect to see a lot more of him going forward! Check this one out if you haven’t yet.
