If passionate vocals over pop production is your type of music, Kaitlyn Velez's latest single, “FOMO” is for you. The 20 year old future popstar from Long Island, New York is clearly committed to perfecting her sound. Co-writing this project with Aaron Karsh and Ryan Matthew Tedder, she developed her passion for songwriting through helping her friends write short birthday songs. 2020 has been a big year for Kaitlyn Velez as she has just started publishing her music on platforms such as Spotify earlier this year.
The lyrics of this song do a great job of portraying the internal conflict that is being expressed through the song. With the harmonic sound of her voice, it becomes harder to focus on lyrics and easier to be taken away by her unique sound. Although she only has a handful of singles out, she has already attained a small fanbase of monthly listeners. With the number of streams increasing in such a short amount of time, it is not hard to see why Kaitlyn Velez has the ability to become a superstar in her respective genre.
