For those that weren’t aware yet, the new pop-punk duo girlfriends is made up of Travis Mills, Nick Gross, and a whole lot of positive energy. Their song ‘California’ is the perfect summer party anthem to get you up out of your seat!
The great thing about girlfriends is how many different styles and sounds each of these two artists already bring on their own. Combining them creates a dangerously dynamic sound that we’re so excited to witness. ‘California’ pulls influences from the likes of modern pop, early 2000’s punk rock, and everything in between.
Just a warning; once you play this song once, you won’t be able to get it out of your head! So be careful, but nonetheless give this one a listen today if you haven’t!
Lyrics That Stick:
“And I wish that I hated you
It would help with these regrets
I was so scared of losing you
So I lost myself instead”
