1. Why Music?

It comes so natural to me, and it’s a stress reliever. It’s the easiest thing to do but also the hardest and i like to be challenged and push my limits. It’s what keeps me sane everyday.

2. "Overrated" has to be our favorite out of all of the many bangers! Describe the making of that song?

I was sitting in my mom’s living room with my home recording set up and tomcbumpz sent me the beat, I immediately free-styled the hook in literally first take 5 minutes, had a little reference track and then sent it back to tom. I wrote the rest of the song and 3 weeks later i was in LA and recorded it also in 1 take. 

3. You have 24 hours to make a hit record. Biggest one of your life. You can be locked in the studio with 2 artists of your choosing? They are…?

Pharrell and Rodney Jerkins 

4. Describe your sound using only three words.

5. If you had to pick a popular song to listen to for a day straight, what is it?

 EARFQUAKE by Tyler The Creator 

6. What’s the best part about being an artist?

Being able to express my shitty emotions through music and change my negative mood to a positive one and have art come out of it.

7. Describe your creative process?

It’s different every time, sometimes it’s freestyles in one take sometimes it takes me 3 months to write a song. I usually like to produce my own beats but I’ve recently gotten in the studio with a lot of producers and written songs in 1-2 hours finished songs in about 4.

8. What do you feel you contribute to music?

A new type of sound that not everyone is doing, i’m not a rapper or a singer i’m just a musician in all aspects.

9. Gimme a day in the life of Souly Had.

Wake up, watch Youtube videos, find inspiration, grind it out in the studio and end the day with some Fortnite! 

10. Who would you say you have drawn inspiration from over the years? Musicians or otherwise.

 Tyler The Creator, Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, Chance The Rapper 

11. What do you want your legacy in music to be when it’s all said and done?
 A legend in all genres! an artist that didn’t get put in a box ever! A universal sound that never dies.
