Machine Gun Kelly - my ex’s best friend (With Blackbear)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Anybody else been absolutely loving the new-age punk rock sound that Machine Gun Kelly has recently adopted? This new one, alongside Blackbear, is an amazing blend of rock ‘n roll and modern-day pop.
How can you not play this one at full volume? That hook goes crazy when it everything comes together, especially at the end. We really love Blackbear’s verse, as it adds a nice switch-up in the instrumentation and provides a different perspective on this intriguing storyline. Go rock out to this song if you haven’t yet!

“I swear to God
I never fall in love
But then you showed up
And I can’t get enough of it”
Forrest. - Never Had
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Listening to this new Forrest. song will give you a feeling you’ve ‘Never Had’ before! As 1/2 of Surfaces, he’s been able to create a sound that’s all his own, and we’re all here for it.
The creativity intertwined into this track is exquisite. Every little ad lib and texture gives a fun, spontaneous feel to it! Not to mention the catchy melody and lyrics on the hook, which we’re still trying to get out of our heads at the moment.
Major hats off to Forrest. for this one! We’re really looking forward to his upcoming project, and you should be too.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Let me do my own thing
Don’t need a magazine
I got me and my team
Making beats while I sing”
Arizona Zervas - NIGHTRIDER
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @Musicbytrev
If you need an example of consistency and hard work paying off, Arizona Zervas is your guy. The dude literally has no ‘off’ switch! This new one, ‘NIGHTRIDER,’ is everything we needed for a summer weekend vibe.
The guitar progression and layered bass, claps, and vocal harmonics build up this beautiful instrumentation that Arizona absolutely killed. We dare you to listen to his melodies and not sing along… it’s impossible! With sounds reminiscent of ‘3 Nights’ by Dominic Fike and vintage west coast acoustics, this track is a perfect mesh of chill, yet youthful vibes. Go give it a listen if you haven’t yet!
Lyrics That Stick:
“You left your old man
Baby let me slide in
You got a past
Girl you know I got some mileage”
The Kid LAROI - TELL ME WHY
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
‘TELL ME WHY’ I’m tearing up in the club right now… The Kid LAROI just released this gem as a tribute to his friend, mentor, and inspiration, Juice WRLD, surrounding the release of Juice’s album.
His ability to pour emotion into each and every lyric is just one reason why The Kid LAROI is one of hip-hop’s fastest-rising stars right now. This track specifically feels like it’s straight out his diary. Contemplating with God and trying to understand why people leave too soon is a vulnerable thing to talk about, but it seems so effortless to LAROI.
Not only is this one emotional, it’s just flat out good music. We’re excited to see The Kid LAROI continue his climb to the top in the near future.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Tell me why, tell me why
It’s so hard to say goodbye
And when I get inside
Of my mind I lose my time”
Fiji Blue - I Should’ve Told You
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
After hearing this one, ‘I Should’ve Told You’ all about it sooner! Fiji Blue supplies the vibe heavily in this new one that’s sure to have you dancing and in your feels at the same time.
The juxtaposition is really cool in this track, and most Fiji Blue tracks if we’re being honest. The upbeat production layered with smooth vocals and lyrics about losing someone you love creates a whole mood that’s hard to describe. All we know is that it’s amazing and you definitely need to take a listen if you haven’t!
Lyrics That Stick:
“You’re the only one that saves me
When I’m alone
You’re the only love
That I’ve ever known”
Tristan Wells & BangerOfTheDay - Remember
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Just in case you couldn’t ‘Remember,’ Tristan Wells is truly next up. After releasing an abundance of songs already in 2020, he’s showing no sign of slowing down on his newest BangerOfTheDay co-release.
Combining the likes of hard rock with synthetic drums and melodic, hip-hop-influenced flow, Tristen Wells continues to break genre expectations with this one. The vocals and electric guitar ringing on the hook is a giant, stadium-worthy masterpiece. And that guitar solo at the end? Wow. The only rule with this song is that you have to play it LOUD!
We’re excited to keep hearing more from Tristen Wells this year. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and give this one a listen!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Remember
All them nights that I told you
I love you”
Jutes - When You’re Around (Official Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Stepping outside the box and creating his own path are two things Jutes is fully used to doing. From the beginning of when we first heard him to now, we’ve seen Jutes adapt and change his sound with what seems like each new release. The crazy part is, each end of his versatility is equally impressive and high quality. That definitely is not the norm!
This new visual for ‘When You’re Around’ is a full on display of Jutes’ talent and songwriting ability. The visual is a slow, progressive zoom-out starting with his face and ending with a full body shot. The shot is so simple, yet so intriguing. It feels like you’re right there in the room with him. The song is so fire, we could sit back and listen to it for days!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Need you
Baby do you need me?
I want love
Like a scene on the TV”
J. Cole - Snow On Tha Bluff
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
Wow. Just wow. I think everyone who’s heard this already would say the same. J. Cole needs no introduction, and ‘Snow On Tha Bluff’ doesn’t either.
As an artist known for being the smart, woke, conscious rapper, Cole begins the first few lines by talking about how most people hold him on a pedestal and that there’s plenty people smarter than him, including a girl he recently saw on the timeline. He raps about how she was calling people out for not speaking up or being insensitive during these trying times. As this story unfolds, Cole offers points of perspective like how we should lead with love and kindness if we truly want to help people change their mindsets.
What makes an artist great is their ability to bring a new perspective to the table that sparks change, and that’s exactly what J. Cole does. He doesn’t come from a prideful place, acknowledging his own faults, and simply states his viewpoints on what he’s personally experienced. This is exactly what we needed right now- go give this one an honest listen today.

“She mad at our ignorance
She wear her heart on her sleeve
She mad at the celebrities
Low-key I be thinking she talkin’ bout me”
The Kid LAROI - GO (feat. Juice WRLD)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
This track is about to ‘GO’ crazy this summer! A legend in the making, The Kid LAROI, has been one of the most consistent up-and-comers this year, releasing what feels like hit after hit. What makes this track even more special is the Juice WRLD feature. Before passing last year, Juice actually mentored The Kid LAROI as the two were very close. It’s likely this song had been in the vault for awhile, so seeing it drop now is really amazing.
The cadences, melodies and switch-ups throughout this track are beautifully reminiscent of Juice’s older stuff, while maintaining the infectiousness that comes with every The Kid LAROI song. It will be exciting to watch this song grow and catch on even more this summer. Go give it a listen today if you haven’t yet!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Go go go
She always be talkin’ like she know know know
I told her don’t ever leave me ‘lone ‘lone ‘lone”
6lack - ATL Freestyle (Music Video)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @musicbytrev
6lack has always been one of those artists whose versatility and consistency carries him a long way. From soulful ballads to conscious rap, he truly has done it all. Thankfully, he’s back again when we need him most with his new single ‘ATL Freestyle’.
What makes a 6lack song so mesmerizing? So.. magnetic? There may be many conspiracies, but we think it has something to do with the way his voice sits on a track. It’s like a smooth, buttery cheesecake that you can’t get enough of. If you’re not sure what we’re talking about, ‘ATL Freestyle’ is a perfect example of this.
Speaking on his upbringing, putting on for his city, and doing a little bit of flexing are all covered in this track. 6lack really has done it again! Go take a listen to this joint if you haven’t yet.

Able Heart - In The Morning
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
Able Heart is making a name for himself in the pop / R&B scene with his sexy, enchanting songs. His new single, ‘In the Morning’, is no different, as you probably could have guessed by the artwork. True to fashion, but no less original for it, this one is a banger.
The first thing that stands out to me about the track is just how incredible Able Heart’s vocals are. Rising high into his falsetto like it was the easiest thing in the world, it had me absolutely entranced my first listen to. As I kept replaying it, I was getting a huge The Weeknd vibe, but a Trilogy-era version. ‘In The Morning’ is one that you’re gonna want to check out, and after that you’ll definitely want to have this on your playlists.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Baby I need you to
Take me far, far away”
Machine Gun Kelly - Bloody Valentine (Music Video)
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
The single artwork for Machine Gun Kelly’s new single, ‘Bloody Valentine’, showed MGK with a crazy look on his face, and a foot stepping on him. When he announced the video, he made a big point of teasing who’s foot it was, and making it seem like a big unveiling. I was thinking he was just joking and it would be a model or something like that, but I’m not gonna lie, I was surprised.
It was Megan Fox. I completely forgot about her as you never see her in movies anymore, but it took me back to the past as she was the star of MGK’s new music video. It shows them in a relationship, and her being the dominant. MGK tries to escape and she ties him up, hits him, and does all sorts of things to him. Meanwhile, the colors and aesthetic of the music video are incredible. Go and check out the video, and afterwards go and watch the old Transformer movies to see some more classic Megan Fox.

Anthony Russo - Nobody to Love (Music Video)
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
Anthony Russo’s last single to release about a month ago, ‘Typical’, was my new favorite song by the very talented artist. But, with his new single, ‘Nobody to Love’, I think he once again just gave me a new favorite. And it’s this summer’s feel-good anthem.
Russo has some of the best vocals in music right now, and really shows them off with this new banger. His voice is constantly changing the tone, showing the power at parts and then other times singing as casual as he can. One thing is constant, however, and that’s that it all sounds effortless for him. Together with the beautiful production, this song sounds exactly like the summer that we all want with our friends. Let’s just hope that Coronavirus allows us to drive around with them all, blasting this song with the windows down.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Remember days when I was scraping just to count up dimes
Don’t know how to feel, with the world in my hands
Cause I’m from a place where they told me I can’t”
Dylan Reese & BangerOfTheDay - CRUCIAL
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
At just less than 2 minutes, Dylan Reese’s new song released together with BangerOfTheDay does not have time to waste. That’s why it takes only a few seconds before he goes in and he doesn’t stop until the last couple seconds.
On a beat with a hard 808 and a bed-squeak, Reese goes about as hard as I’ve heard from him, filling his raps with metaphors, similes and lots of flexes. He makes sure we know that he feels important in the music industry, and then backs it up with every single bar. It’s an all gas, no brakes style song and one that you won’t want to miss out on. Go and check it out for yourself below!

“This is not a game to me
Please don’t play it with me”
Gavin Haley - The World Keeps Spinning On
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
After having the biggest hit of his career in 2019 and delivering the amazing ‘Tati’ earlier this year, Gavin Haley is back with ‘The World Keeps Spinning On’. This one, laid over a simple guitar instrumental, is about Haley forging his own path.
Haley takes the opportunity to show off his vocal range, switching back and forth between his chest voice and falsetto seamlessly. His voice is made even better by the words it’s singing, which are filled with positivity and optimism. The song preaches the message of taking advantage of the time you have right now, because you never know what’s going to happen. It’s catchy, well-produced, and one that you need to check out right now!
Lyrics That Stick:
“And you’ll still have this song, when I’m dead and gone
Cause the world keeps spinning on”
Vaboh & Nate Good - I Get Jealous
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
This new collaboration between Vaboh & Nate Good makes for one of the best songs about “the brink” that I have ever heard. By “the brink”, I mean that point in the relationship between friends and dating where it could go either way with one good (or bad) move. In their new song, these 2 artists talk about a relationship at this point.
It’s clear which way they would like the relationship to go, as they talk about how amazing this girl is and what she means to them. But at the same time, they play it safe and after saying they hope they end up with the girl, they finish it, “But I’ll be fine.” The song is catchy and shows 2 artists doing what they do best: making fun, exciting and different music. If you haven’t listened yet, make sure to go check it out!

“I get jealous, even though you’re not mine”
Adam Oh - 10/10 (feat. Gavin Haley)
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
This song is 10/10 a breath of fresh air for me. Sometimes I don’t realize just how rare a good, happy song is, until I finally hear a new one. This one is a positive, driven and still emotional love song, and a banger at that.
Adam Oh & Gavin Haley sound like they both have someone very special in their lives. Written about 2 different girls (each one with their own girl), the song talks about how they will always be there for their girl, and promises that they will do anything for them. It’s different from what is usually heard, and for that reason, one of my favorite that I’ve heard in awhile. I definitely would give it a ‘10/10’.

“Ten times out of ten, I’ll be at your door when you need me most”
Drake - Toosie Slide
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
After watching the new Drake video a few times, I have come to two conclusions: 1. Drake is still the king of making hits, and 2. Drake has made a LOT of money from this hits, and has bought himself quite the house. Now I say that as a joke, but I kind of feel like that’s what Drake wanted us to learn from his video. I mean, why else would he take us on a tour through his house?
The song, ‘Toosie Slide’, is filled with the usual Drake subject matter (the struggle, his independence, etc.), but then switches to a chorus that comes with it’s own dance move. The best part, is that the move is easy enough for anyone to do, and still looks cool when you have it down. I walk around with two left feet, but I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been ‘toosie sliding’ a little bit today. I’m sure you’ve heard it by now, but just in case you haven’t, toosie slide on over to your favorite streaming service and check out the new banger from Drake.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Imma show you how to get it, it go
Right foot up, left foot slide, left foot up, right foot slide”
Gavin Haley & Yung Pinch - Tati
An unlikely duo, but a powerful one, Gavin Haley & Yung Pinch have given us one of the catchiest songs I've heard in a long time. With a hard hitting kick / snare combo that makes you want to dance, and Haley's vocals over it, it's a song that will be stuck in your head for a while.
'Tati', whoever she is, has to be feeling pretty good about herself at this point. Haley comes from a very vulnerable place in confessing his love for her and even going so far as to name the song after her. Yung Pinch just has one verse, but does what he's asked to in bringing variety and power to the track, building it up into the anthem that it is. Take a listen, but expect to be singing the hook for weeks and weeks.
Lyrics That Stick:
"There's this girl, called Tati
I love the way she move in the nighttime"
