Alec King-Everything’s Backwards (Album)

The verdict is in, we think we have found the most chill, laid back, but proficient album of the year! Denver, Colorado born artist Alec King has been constantly applying pressure to the rap and hip hop genre with his new releases. While he has been releasing music since 2017, he has also been taking the time to sharpen up his sound with every project. With over 100k monthly listeners, the proof is in the pudding, his calm but soulful style is attracting an audience.
His latest project, Everything’s Backwards, is a 15 song album with countless bangers. Weighing in a total of 44 minutes, this is an album that is hard to get tired of listening too. The mellow instrumentals in correlation with his sedated flow and soulful lyricism, make this album very easy to digest in one sitting. After listening to the first few songs, we already knew this would be an automatic ‘on repeat’ project. Some of our favorite songs are “Take Some Time” and “Numb & Nervous (feat. Gnash)”. “Numb & Nervous” really captured our attention with in-depth quality and detail put into the verses. These songs highlight some of his strongest attributes.
