Nextdoordown Shines On His EP, “Who?”

Nextdoordown is an artist that NEEDS to be in your rotation.
Coming from humble beginnings, the emerging Florida artist has taken the music industry by storm. He is raw, personable, and his eclectic sound is unlike anything I have heard as of recent. Nextdoordown defies all genre norms, and he has created a captivating sound that I consider to be timeless. Now, he enters our pages with his latest EP “Who?”.
“Who?” is a six-track EP that takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. I loved the EP sonically, and I felt like Nextdoordown’s songwriting kept a good balance of being emotional yet intoxicating. His ability to stay true to himself while crafting records that evoke raw emotions is a skill in itself.
My favorite record from the project was “Attached”. “Attached” is a record that dives into the details of a tumultuous relationship where one partner gets more attached even though there are flaws in the relationship. The production to the vocal delivery was exceptional on this record. I loved the transitions and how the song is divided into two parts. This is what Nextdoordown had to say about the song:
“The 2nd part goes into how me and her complement each other well and that I'll always be there for her. The whole EP is an emotional rollercoaster.”
Overall, this is one of the best projects I have heard this year. Nextdoordown has proven he can do it all. Whether he’s producing, recording, or mixing, Nextdoordown is pioneering this new generation of artists. Stream his EP below!
