K-LAT Bears It All On His Latest EP, “Novella: EP (Shire_Town)”

Have you ever listened to an artist or band that made you fall in love with music again? If so, what made them stand out amongst the thousands of artists & bands releasing songs daily. For me, I believe that artist that create music to push the boundaries and elevate the overall feel and sound are the ones that should be celebrated. This week, I came across an artist that impressed me with their ability to shine amongst their peers. His name is K-LAT.
K-LAT is an exceptional artist that has continued to garner a cult-like fan base with his ability to craft introspective records that evoke raw emotions. Now, he debuts on our pages with his latest EP, “Novella: EP (Shire_Town)”. On the first listen, I knew the burgeoning star has that “IT” factor. The 4-track EP is carried by songs that are laced with lush melodies, exceptional vocal delivery, and production that is captivating. K-LAT is unlike anything I have heard recently. He is a pioneer of this new generation of artist and the music clearly proves that.
My favorite records from the album were “Pilot Kid” & “On My Fone (Waiting)”. “Pilot Kid” is carried by rich guitar riffs, harmonious vocal samples, and his punchy vocals turn it into a hazy masterpiece. For me, the song is about triumph. It’s about breaking down the walls and taking control of your own destiny. “On My Fone (Waiting)” is a brighter record that has a catchy hook, and I can see myself riding with the top down to this one. I loved the sonics and overall pacing of this record. With that being said, K-LAT has my attention, and this is one of my favorite projects I have heard this year. So, stream it below and vibe out!
