After years of being a part of the YouTube community, Quadeca made a decision to become a musical artist. Although he was following his dreams, he faced a lot of haters and people that never truly saw the bigger picture. Now, after releasing a slew of intoxicating albums and singles, Quadeca sets the record straight for all of his haters with his new album titled ‘From Me To You’.
The amazing thing about this album is that Quadeca did it on his own. There wasn’t a big label machine or any tools providing him that necessary '“in” to the industry. With that being said, his ability to add a personal touch to his music helped pave his own lane into the industry. Ultimately, allowing him to leave behind his label as a “YouTube rapper”.
With all of that being said, the album’s production is immaculate with its glitchy and abrasive feel. In addition, the subject lines throughout the songs on mental health and depression help create a personable and relatable draw to his records. The standout banger on the album for us has to be ‘Burnin Bridges/Long Day’ that features IDK. The production on this single is abrasive and in your face. It is definitely one of the most memorable songs from the album. Some other good tracks that have a melancholy feel would have to be ‘Sisyphus’ and ‘Candles on Fire!’. Overall, the project is promising and it shows a lot of maturity from Quadeca.
Favorite Song: Sisyphus
Lyrics That Stick:
”All of the blisterin' mends in a callus
Even our bickerin’ getting nostalgic,
All of those little things meld into mountains in my mind, uh
August came by, saw you say "Bye," wanna stay by your side”
