Franskiiz - Observations (Album Review)

Track for track, this is one of the most consistent EP’s I’ve heard since 44phantom’s EP last month. And this one is also from a newer artist, Franskiiz, currently with only a little above 2,000 monthly Spotify listeners. If I had to guess, however, that number is about to skyrocket.

The EP plays on the line between trap and R&B. One song will feature fast hitting hi-hats as Franskiiz spazzes over them, and the next could feature him calmly singing over a chill instrumental. The only constant is the talent throughout it all. My personal favorite is ‘All For Nothing’, mostly because in the second verse he sneaks in some clever basketball references that I loved. But don’t take my word on the project, go check it out and make your own ‘Observations’.

Lyrics That Stick:

“I know you’re used to making choices

But I’m not used to trying to force it"
