Dream Pop/Hip Hop darling Forrest. is back with his first album release since 2018’s Warm. With a fresh update to his sound for 2020, Effortless does an excellent job at reviving everything we loved about Forrest.’s last album, as well as clueing us into more aspects of the mysterious artist’s persona.
Standout tracks like, “Never Had,” “Backwards,” and “Sunlight” are beautiful tone-setting pieces that place listeners straight in Forrest.’s head as he longs for simplicity on these polished tracks. Never unconfident, Forrest. stays unshakable on his latest work.
