greek May Have The Album Of The Year With his Latest Offering “EXTC”

I personally don’t remember the last time I was enthralled by an album but emerging artist/producer, greek, may have done the impossible. I don’t really know when it started for me, but albums have felt more like playlists than cohesive bodies of work lately. Due to the oversaturation of music and the need for artists to push for viral moments, it seems like were moving further away from artists creating bodies of work that sonically and lyrically feel complete. However, I was extremely impressed with greek’s debut album “EXTC”. The self-produced album was a year in the making and greek’s attention to detail has made this one of my favorite albums of the year for numerous reasons.

“EXTC” is more than an album and it almost feels like an experience or atmosphere. With songs like “rewind” & “safety”, the Virginia-native shines with his raw and gritty sound that almost feels magnetic. Lyrically and symbolically, the rawness and sometimes messiness make the project so loveable. If you don’t have the time to check the full album out, some of my favorite records to listen to off of it are “lovers&friends”, “bones”, & “rewind”. Overall, this is one of my favorite projects as of recent so make sure to stream it below!
