After three years since releasing his last full album, G-Eazy just surprised us all with ‘Everything’s Strange Here.’ And boy, is it different than anything he’s ever done (and we’re not mad).

Every album cover from G-Eazy has been mainly black & white, dark, etc. So when we saw this bright, UV-looking cover, we could only expect it to sound different as well. The first two songs set the tone for whole project with that alternative vibe, sounding reminiscent of some songs from ‘These Things Happen.’ Guitar-influenced instrumentals then carry the rest of the album through songs with big, melodic hooks and mellow, vulnerable ballads.

Has G-Eazy officially moved away from rapping over harder hip-hop joints? Whatever path he chooses to take next, we’re here for it. Go give this project a listen if you haven’t yet!

Favorite Song: All The Things You’re Searching For

Lyrics That Stick:

“If there’s a quick fix

Let me know where I could buy it at

Where you been my whole life

The f*ck have you been hiding at”
