One of the modern-day rap GOATS (yes, we said goat) is back with his first solo project in three years, and might we say it is exactly what we all needed right now. Joey Bada$$ is unmatched in a lot of aspects when comes to rap, and this EP is the perfect example.
Just 3 songs in length, ‘The Light Pack’ covers a variety of topics while showcasing the vastness of Joey’s versatility. There’s just a certain emotion that’s brought about when we hear him speaking up about everything from the current state of rap to the current state of society. Every line, instrumental, and ad lib feels so intentional and detailed.
Put in some headphones, limit your distractions, and give this project a listen through if you haven’t yet.
